When training your dog to point or flush, it is essential to build a very positive association of bird exposure during field training. Dogtra launchers make the task easy.

Whether manually operated or remote-controlled, Dogtra QL and PL launchers offer adjustable spring tension, which allows you to adjust the height of the launch for a low, quiet launch (a real must for starting a shy dog on birds) or a high, dramatic one.

They also have excellent air flow through the launcher for easy scenting. A very important feature for sensitizing your dog to bird scent.

Turn Your Manual Launcher into a Remote Launcher. Dogtra RR Deluxe Transmitter & Receiver System is designed to operate the Dogtra PL and QL Launchers for upland training. (Duo is also compatible with most after-market bird/bumper launcher systems such as Zinger Winger, Marc and others.)

The RR Deluxe Transmitter has a robust 1 mile range that assures activation at the most demanding distances. The RR Deluxe is user-expandable with an easy coding system that can be done in the field and can operate up to eight different receivers off one transmitter. Using an extension cable between 2 launchers controls up to 16 launchers.

The transmitter uses long-lasting, rechargeable Ni-Mh batteries (charger included) with 3-color battery life indicator.

Transmitter is waterproof, and receivers are water resistant.

RR Receivers attach to your launcher or bird-throwing system. When used with Dogtra launchers, the ER Receivers have built-in realistic Mallard duck call attention-getter, which makes the unit the release-of-choice for serious retriever trainers looking to enhance their dogs' marking ability. Press the "locate" button and it sounds the locator on the receiver to help you quickly find the launcher in heavy cover. Both are audible for up to 100 yards.

Each receiver can also accomodate a separate loud speaker, which gives you increased sound for windy days and extended marks (optional).

Each receiver can operate two launchers with the use of a 15 foot extension cable between them (not included). If you use the extension cables between each two launchers, you can control up to 16 launchers total!

Dogtra RR Deluxe electronics are needed to operate either PL or QL launcher remotely and are sold separately from the QL and PL launchers above.

The Science of Bird Launchers While flushing dog trainers often use a bird launcher that has enough force to throw a bumper or bird 40-50 feet, pointing dog training requires a launcher that is also quiet and releases without too much force. Dogtra systems are excellent for pointing dogs, as they are both quiet and gentle, but can still help teach your pointing dog to be steady. Adjust the force adn height of the throw from the spring tension.
