Mount the Hound Heater in any corner of the dog house away from the dog house entrance. Mount the Hound Heater Shield about 2" above the heater to deflect the rising heat and disperse it more efficiently in your pet's house. Plug it in. Set the thermostat to the desired temperature. Go away confident that it will heat when needed. (Can also be mounted in igloo-style dog houses)
The Hound Heater II will stay at a constant 130 degrees when the outside temperature is below freezing, keeping your pet warm and comfortable. A 60-75 watt bulb produces approximately 230 BTU's of dry, reliable heat. Draws 1.3 amps
The Hound Heater II will heat an average size dog house (typically 48" L X 24" T X 24" W -- approx. 16 cubic feet) with a ceramic emitter, infrared bulb or standard light bulb. At 0 degrees F outside, the house will stay around 40 degrees F. If you need to warm a larger area, multiple heaters may be installed. We recommend that a Thermo Cube be used to help regulate the temperature and save energy
